One of my favorite pictures

This post will be simple.  A collection of photos that led up to one of my favorite pictures.

Location:  Howard Park Beach, Tarpon Springs, FL

T found this....
And began experimenting....
and experiementing....

Realized it made him look like he was standing on the water.

Tried different poses and positions
Eventually, did this...
It says so much... Mostly, that he loves the outdoors and is thankful.  Enjoy the simple moments.

Birthday Week

Yep... I said it (again).  It's Birthday Week.  What is Birthday Week, you ask?  Well, it's the way we celebrate birthdays at  my house.

Mostly it is simple stuff like choosing the radio station we listen to in the car, what we watch if we all watch TV and at least some of the dinners we eat during the week.

As a bonus, my mom and I  always have a slice of birthday pie, light a candle and she sings Happy Birthday at the exact time that I was born... 10:02 pm.  So, at least at this age... I get to stay up later for dessert. :)

Flag Football

You can't really see me in these photos at all.   I'm the guy in the back holding the team sign.  We were the Hog Riders.  Standing next to Patrick Omameh, who at the time played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  He stopped by with a friend to say hi to the kids-- such a cool guy-- oh yeah, he is huge!

The lesson is that the memory isn't in the picture. The memory is in the experience.  I was helping my mom's boss coach his son's flag football team at the YMCA in Palm Harbor.  The kids were fun and frustrating, but aren't we all.  It was a great season and I learned that I love to share my love of football with other people.

An Excellent View....

Gotta love this view of T on his bike ride home from school.  Some days might get too hot down here, but the view of palm trees for some reason is always fantastic.  Everyone should have their own way to stop and smell the roses... and let it change often.  What view in your life always relaxes you and makes you smile?

Wonder what this little guy would say about Trump today?

Wonder what this little guy would say about Trump today?

The comments that people make on the internet amaze me.  If I start to read the comments below this video on YouTube I can rarely make it all the way through.  We stayed away from the "spotlight" after this experience.  It wasn't what we wanted to spend our time or energy on....but, while I still remember I want to note.....

The background behind Tanner is still dark.  It was no later than 6 a.m., probably earlier.  He had been racing from interview to interview for days and was coming down with a cold.  I understand as his mom I'm probably the only one who can hear it in his voice... and in order to get through the interview he had taken cold medicine, which he rarely does, if ever.

The town car picked him up at like 4 a.m. to get him from Rockford to Chicago.  He was not in the same room as the interviewer (hence, the split screen). He was exhausted, sick, medicated and had been up for hours -- not to mention he's 8!!!  He still was aware enough to share his opinion of Mr. Trump-- even a child knows his behavior is mean.  With all the resources Trump has available to him you would think he could accomplish his goals-- with a little more sophistication.
